Is El Paso good for off-roading and overlanding? Yes, the wide-open desert around El Paso and Las Cruces is a big draw for off-road and overland camping, with plenty of remote spots and almost no crowds.

This is the bonus pro we left off our five-best-things list. Overlanding means outfitting your vehicle to head off-road, drive into the desert, camp overnight, cook breakfast, and roll out, and it is gaining real traction here. A lot of these spots have no cell reception, so you are forced to unplug and be present with family. The local scene supports it too: shops like Hammer Performance handle suspension, gear, and engine work on off-road builds, and you will find businesses doing car wrapping and high-end auto detailing. If you love spending time outdoors, it is one of the best things about living here.

Hey, El Paso and Las Cruces. We recently did a video called the five best things or the five pros of El Paso Solid solid list. However, we forgot one. There's more than just five So one of the amazing things about El Paso for me and Leah is off-roading So the ability to basically outfit your vehicle go off-road where most other cars can't go

It's pretty awesome because why there's not a lot of people out in these places, right? And so we've actually outfitted our vehicle to be able to stay overnight So we might drive out into the desert camp out. We brought food with us. We have our clothes We probably brought the dogs and we could stay overnight get up in the morning cook breakfast

Drive out right so overlanding super popular type of activity gaining a ton of traction There's so many good YouTube channels about it. So Behind me is hammer performance. These guys do a lot of the work on the vehicles you see behind me including my vehicle Suspension stuff gear engine performance. They don't just do trucks, but I've seen killer vehicles in there, too

They're putting on this event. It's great We met a couple local business owners here One of the gentlemen behind me Thomas is doing wrapping car wrapping kind of stuff, which is cool another gentleman Ricky is

Doing some serious high-level auto spa kind of take care of vehicles fleets of vehicles things like that So a lot of great businesses here, which is awesome to see there's a lot of money to be had here quite honestly Some of these vehicles they've invested a pretty substantial amount of money into them. But if you like spending time outdoors It's a great way to spend with your family, right? No devices. A lot of these places don't have cell reception

So you're forced to you know Be present with the people that you're with So really becoming a popular thing and it is totally one of the pros of El Paso for us at least Maybe for you if you're into off-roading in nature
