Living in El Paso
What are the El Paso Chihuahuas? They are El Paso's minor league baseball team, the AAA affiliate of the San Diego Padres in the Pacific Coast League, playing downtown at Southwest University Park, and the games are a ton of fun and very affordable.
A Chihuahuas game is one of the best things to do in El Paso once the weather warms up in spring and summer. The ballpark sits right downtown, easy to reach off Interstate 10 (exit 19), with convenient convention-center parking around $10. Tickets are budget friendly, including affordable lawn seats where kids can run around, and there are drink specials and even a game where you can bring your dog. Restaurants overlook the field, making it an easy, family-friendly night out.
Hi, welcome to Living in El Paso, Texas. In this episode, we're going to an El Paso Chihuahua's minor league baseball game. Hi, my name is John Peña with Peña El Paso Realty Group. Thank you so much for checking out the YouTube channel. And we're always looking to talk about what there is to do in El Paso and one of the great things in the spring summer
is to go to a Chihuahua's game. The Chihuahuas are basically, they're a AAA affiliate of the San Diego Padres in the Pacific Coast League. Man, the games are a ton of fun, very affordable. They have different little drink specials, like there's a game where you can bring your dogs, stuff for the family.
They've got a lawn where you can like kind of like get really affordable seats, let the little ones kind of run around a little bit. So it's a really great time, centrally located right there in downtown at the stadium. And so, like I said, we're always looking to kind of showcase things that are fun to do in El Paso. This is definitely one of them, you know, when the weather starts to warm up, which it definitely has.
And without further ado, let's kind of, let's check out the time that we had at the game. All right, so the stadium is downtown. It is 545, more or less, downtown on a Wednesday night. So you can see we're getting a little bit of traffic here, but not too bad.
So to get to the stadium, basically, you just get off on Interstate 10, get off downtown here. We're getting off at exit 19. And basically, you're just going to see, we just basically roll right into the stadium and then figure out where to park. Keep it going, keep it going.
All right, so we're going into the, so underneath the stadium for the convention center, there's actually parking here. So we're just going to make it easy on ourselves and park here. Let's see how much it costs. Thank you.
$10. So that's pretty good, pretty convenient. All right. All right.
What do you got? I'm going with Sutter Home, Cavern A. Nice. But you can see the selection is only Sutter Home.
All right. All right, so it's Wednesday and they got specials on wine. And so normally the wine is like $8, but it's like $4. So normally I wouldn't do wine, but you know, $4.
What do you think? Yeah, you got to drink it out of the actual Sutter Home plastic bottle. I like that. That's how you drink wine.
That's indicative of that John's had a drink before the wine. Where'd you get the cup? An incredible bartender gave me this. So we tried to go to this place, but a private party.
So that's pretty awesome. You can have a private party and then the restaurants like they look right out onto the stadium. Awesome. Yeah.
All right. Who did you pitch for the Ole' Massive Diablos in 2003? Curt Schilling, Randy Johnson, or Ryan Maddox? Randy Johnson.
Got it. Did you get the wine timed up? And this one's for the win. What was the name of the Ole' Massive Diablos Chili Pepper Mascot?
Chili B. Charlie B. Or Pepper B. It was Chili B.
Thanks for playing Aquamia Water Trivia. Aw. Leah, who won? Did we win?
Nope.
