El Paso Neighborhoods in 2022 | HORIZON CITY

What are home prices like in Horizon City, Texas? Most homes range from about $80,000 to $965,000 with an average near $220,000, and the area is overwhelmingly new construction built in the 2020s.

Horizon City is one of El Paso's newest and fastest-growing areas, with most homes brand new and a few older ones from the 70s through early 2000s in established pockets. Eastlake Boulevard and Horizon Boulevard are the main roads, and a new Amazon Fulfillment Center has brought jobs and momentum. You will find Walmart, local supermarkets, nine-plus schools split between the Socorro and Clint districts, the Hospitals of Providence Horizon City campus, parks, and a golf course, with a Target or other big-box stores about a 10-to-15-minute drive away. Drive times run roughly 30 to 40 minutes to Fort Bliss, 20 to 30 to the airport, and 30 to downtown. New-construction pockets near Bob Hope Drive and around the 375 Loop range from the $150,000s into the $400,000s.

El Paso Neighborhoods in 2022 | HORIZON CITY

Hi and welcome to Living in El Paso, Texas. My name is John Peña and in this video we're going to talk all about Horizon City. So today we're going to be talking about Horizon City. Now Horizon City is a very popular area in El Paso because it's a newer area in El Paso and you're going to

see a lot of new construction, new homes, and new development. Most of the homes are going to be brand new in 2021, 2020. There's going to be a lot of places where they're still making a lot of constructions, a lot of homes still being built, and you are going to be able to find some homes in the 70s, 80s, 90s, early

2000s, but it's only going to be a few and those are going to be in the neighborhoods that are already established there in Horizon City. Like I say, Horizon City is mainly new construction. Most of the homes there are going to be ranging you from $80,000 all the way to $965,000 and the average

there for a price of a home is going to be about $220,000 in Horizon City area. Now it depends where you are in Horizon City. It should take you about 30 to 40 minutes drive to Fort Bliss, probably takes you 20 to 30 minute drive to the airport, and it probably takes you about 30 minute drive to downtown. Popular

roads in Horizon City are Eastlake Boulevard and Horizon Boulevard. Now Horizon City, like I mentioned, is growing very, very fast. We recently just got a Amazon Fulfillment Center open right there in Horizon City that brought a lot of jobs and I feel like it's an area that is going to continue to develop. A

lot of other businesses are going to start doing construction there and I feel like eventually we're gonna have all the same amenities that places like the East or the Far East has. So we do have everything when it comes down to amenities in Horizon City, it's just not that many options compared to a place

like the East or the Far East. Let me give you an example. For grocery stores we have one Walmart Supercenter, one Valley Supermarket, we have a lot of local supermarkets as well, but we don't have a Target or we don't have a Best Buy. But since everything is so close, the closest Target from anywhere in Horizon

City is gonna be about 15 minute drive. So anything that you might not have in your immediate area, you're gonna be able to drive 10-15 minutes and find whatever it is that you need. Now for the schools, like I said, everything is brand new in Horizon City, so you're gonna have new schools, new amenities, new strip

malls, all is gonna be brand new and pretty and very clean to be honest too. For schools though, we have nine schools, over nine schools, including high schools, junior schools, elementary schools, and over ten daycares. Now Horizon City does not have its own independent school district, but Horizon City is covered by

two school districts, which is gonna be the Socorro Independent District and the Clint Independent School District. So those are gonna be the two districts that cover Horizon City. Like I said, Horizon City is gonna be, all the schools are very brand new and pretty. If you want to know about hospitals or medical

centers, we do have a hospital called the Hospitals of Providence Horizon City Campus. We do have a Healthy Horizons Clinic, Trans Mountain Primary Care, and if you want other options, like I said, 375 Loop is probably gonna be your best option, 10-15 minute drive, you're gonna find any other medical facilities that

you prefer that is not the ones that I mentioned. Like I said, there's gonna be, we don't actually have a shopping center, like a big shopping center, a big mall, but we do have a lot of brand new strip malls, and you know that you're gonna find your typical stores, like salons, restaurants, dog groomers, furniture

stores, anything that you usually find in strip malls, you're gonna be able to find them there as well. Like I mentioned, vets, there is two vet clinics in there, one called the Eastlake Animal Clinic and the West Texas Veterinary Services. The Google reviews were pretty good in both of these places, but like I said, if

neither of these places are something that you want to go and check out, there's other options 10-15 minutes away from there. For entertainment in Horizon City, we have plenty of bars, we got a lot of different parks as well, we have one golf course, which Google reviews as well, so it's pretty good and it's very affordable,

and then plenty of restaurants as well, all over Horizon City. When it comes down to food, anything you can imagine, if it's fast food, any type of restaurant, like coffee places, Starbucks, everything is gonna be all over Horizon City. Plenty of options, like I said, when it comes down to everything, you do have

everything you might need, it's just not a lot of options compared to other places like the Eastside or more established places in El Paso. Now we're gonna move to our neighborhood spotlight section. We selected three different neighborhoods in Horizon City and we want to give you a little bit of

background information as what type of homes you can find there, what type of prices you can find there, and how the homes look in that specific neighborhood. So the first neighborhood we're gonna be talking about, it's a northeast of Horizon City, it's an intersection between Bob Hope Drive and Mission Ridge

Boulevard. Now this neighborhood is gonna be, like most Horizon City, brand new construction. You're gonna find homes here from 2017 all the way to 2021. Now the homes here are gonna be priced from $165,000 to $459,000. This neighborhood has one part called Starduster Park, it's only five minutes

away from 375 Loop East, 10 minutes from a Walmart, and Target is only 10 minutes away. The next neighborhood we're gonna talk about, it's on the north side of Horizon City, a little bit more in the middle. It's by Berryville Street and Darrington

Road. The homes here are gonna be from 2016 to 2021. The homes here are gonna be from $156,000 to $300,000. Now the average price home in this neighborhood is gonna be about $225,000. You do have an elementary school very close by, it's eight minutes away from a Walmart and only 10 minutes away from

Texas Loop 375. The last neighborhood we're gonna be talking about, it's gonna be by Freshwater Drive. This is a smaller neighborhood on the west side of Horizon City, close to 375 Loop East. Now it's gonna be same brand-new construction, a

little bit bigger homes than the other ones we showcased and homes here are gonna be from $360,000 to $495,000. Homes here 2018 to 2021 and we do have a park nearby called the Emerald Pass Park and it's only 10 minutes away from a Walmart Supercenter.
