Living in El Paso
Where is there a dog-friendly bar in El Paso? Gringo Theory Patio Bar on the east side, at 11410 Montana Avenue past George Dieter and before Lee, is one of the city's first dog-friendly bars.
We brought the dog and checked out Gringo Theory, a patio bar that works closely with the local animal shelter through Laws and Paws donations. They run themed nights all week: karaoke Monday, Taco Tuesday, turtle racing Wednesday when the weather permits, pint night Thursday, and a Saturday dog day where your pup gets a free yappy meal with a dog biscuit, dog pizza, and dog powerade. Inside there are arcades, pool tables, and retro consoles; the outdoor patio adds a basketball court, Jenga, a dog park, and a food truck. The food held up too, with solid al pastor tacos and al pastor loaded fries.
Hi everybody, welcome to Living in El Paso, Texas. Today we're actually in the east side of El Paso, right off of Montana Avenue, checking out a place called the Gringo Theory Patio Bar. Now we've actually never been to this place, but we've heard it has great food, great music,
great drinks, and the best of all, it's dog friendly. Now I brought my dog Eggs today to check it out, let's see if she approves. My name's Adrian, I'm one of the managers here at Gringo Theory. We're located at 11410 Montana, right past George Sheeter, a little bit before Lee.
Let me tell you a little bit about the place, we're a patio bar, we're one of the first dog friendly bars. We work a lot closely with the animal shelter, when it comes to fights we do our donations towards Laws and Paws, so anything that we need, we're very big on helping out the community
with that. Monday is our karaoke night, Tuesday, Taco Tuesday, Wednesday when the weather permits we are going to be racing turtles, it's a pretty fun time if you guys want to come check it out.
Thursday is pint night, Friday, Saturday is the weekend, but Saturday you come by, we have our dog day, and when you come by Saturday you get a free yappy meal, it's going to have a little dog biscuit, a little dog pizza, and a little dog powerade for your pup. There are plenty of things to do in this bar, in the inside you're going to find a lot of
very cool arcades, pool tables, and actually they have a couple sections with small TVs and consoles set up, we found a Super Nintendo, as well as a Playstation. Now a lot of the fun also happens in the outside patio section, they have a lot of different activities, they have a basketball court, they got a slice, they got Jenga, they got
the dog park, they got the food truck outside. Also when it comes down to the food, you're going to find typical bar food, but the food is actually really good. We tried some tacos because it was Taco Tuesday, we got some al pastor tacos that were pretty
good, and then we also got some loader fries, al pastor loader fries, and they're actually very very good. So I was actually quite surprised with this bar, I had a lot more fun than I thought, obviously not only because of all the different activities, the food is great, the selection
of alcohol is pretty good as well, and my favorite part is that it's dog friendly. So I really think that X had a lot of fun, I think she definitely does approve of this place, and it's a place that will definitely be coming more often. Let us know down in the comments if you've been to this bar, or if you have any suggestions
about other cool bars that we can go check it out.
