Parade of Homes in El Paso Texas | 2023 | PART 1

Welcome to Living in El Paso, Texas. My name is John Peña. This is July, which means Parade of Homes in El Paso, which is fantastic. We're doing it again this year, and we're super excited. We're on the west side, sometimes what we call the far west, the other side of Interstate 10. Check out the map. Thank you for joining us. If you like this kind of content, please consider reaching out to us and subscribe to the channel. I think we've got six, seven houses, so let's go check them out.

Decora: The Magnolia

House number two is by Decora, a newer builder to me. I've done some shorts on some of their model homes, and they're beautiful. Big home, 4,437 square feet. The Magnolia. Modern design, with a massive entrance.

The hallway takes you past his-and-hers, hers-and-hers, and his-and-his closets, a big shower, and a freestanding tub right in the center of the room. It's awesome. And there's a hot tub, which is what I want so bad. I've been trying to convince Leah we need an infrared hot tub. Love the light over the tub. You can go from the tub to a little outside area, and actually take an outdoor shower. I missed that the first time. You miss cool stuff like that in these big houses. And then at night, stars above. It's very thoughtful. Leah, they've got a sauna in the primary. A walk-in pantry cubby, like an appliance nook. Everyone loves that.

Let's hit the bedrooms. One bedroom, another bedroom, and a little mini kitchen with a bathroom area. Lots of functionality out of this design, I think it's fair to say.

This might be the garage. When they stage the garage, you know it's on. Leah is going to love those power bikes, or electric bikes. Two car garage here. A dog wash area, and something for clothes, not sure what that is. I'm sure somebody in the comments can share. A water softener? Not sure. This is awesome.

Here's the garage of that one. I mentioned the epic garage staging, but this is also what you get: covered parking. This is priceless, just getting vehicles out of the shade. This is epic.

And just so you can see what the backyards of these houses are like: pecan trees, I'm guessing, I could be wrong, I'm sure the people in the comments will tell me. A lot of this area used to be open farmland, but now, of course, it's turning into really nice housing. On the other side of the fence is a canal. I'm guessing these houses don't have water rights, but the people who own that property do, and this is water from a canal. These canals run all through this area of town down to the Upper Valley, and this person can use the water to irrigate his trees. So where these homes are right now is basically what it used to be. There's our Franklin Mountains. And for the record, from here to downtown El Paso, it's 20 minutes with no traffic. Maybe even 15, no traffic. So still pretty close.

Crown Heritage Homes

From Decora, we're on to one of my favorite builders, Crown Heritage. I've featured Crown Heritage's homes in the past, and sold them to clients. One of our most recent listings, 7368 Mule Team, just went under contract, and that's a Crown Heritage home in Cimarron Canyon. Local, amazing builder.

Right when you come in, there's an inner courtyard with a swimming pool. They've got the fireplace going, so I'll definitely get out that way. This is gorgeous, the colors are unbelievable, and you get all this natural light. It goes straight out to the pool.

There's a barn door into the primary bathroom, which looks epic. Under-counter, under-bench seating, and a modern tub, love it. Another outside courtyard, with a water feature. It's so good. A gorgeous, modern primary closet. The lighting is everything, especially behind the mirror.

We're going to get into the living space and the kitchen. This is gorgeous, super cool, built right in to give some color. Open floor plan, kitchen, and then all this light and windows out to the pool. Dark finishes with the light, so cool. I love that bedroom, this is so awesome. There's kind of a living room space right in the front of the house, so if people come to visit, you can come in here, hang out, and chill with a mini bar.

Let's go outside and see this pool. This is epic, the Crown Heritage home, with an inner courtyard and this amazing pool. I love this fireplace at night. This is going to be so awesome, with a big view of the sky at night. It's going to be darker out here, less light pollution, and they've got this covered space, which you definitely want, for the outdoor kitchen. Looks awesome.
